چکیده
Carbon monoxide (CO) oxidation is considered an important reaction in heterogeneous industrial catalysis and has been extensively studied. Pd supported on SiO2 aerogel catalysts exhibit good catalytic activity toward this owing to their CO bond activation capability thermal stability. Pd/SiO2 were investigated using carbon as a model reaction. The catalyst becomes active, the conversion increases after temperature reaches ignition (Tig). A normal hysteresis observed, where continue high (CO remains at 100%) during extinction even temperatures lower than Tig. was characterized BET, TEM, XPS, TGA-DSC, FTIR. In work, influence of pretreatment conditions stability active sites presented. attributed dissociative adsorption molecular oxygen C-O bond, followed by diffusion adsorbates Tig form CO2. Whereas, explained enhanced site caused effects, conditions, Pd-SiO2 support interaction, PdO formation decomposition.

Pyrolysis and co-pyrolysis of Laminaria japonica and polypropylene over mesoporous Al-SBA-15 catalyst
The catalytic co-pyrolysis of a seaweed biomass, Laminaria japonica, and a typical polymer material, polypropylene, was studied for the first time. A mesoporous material Al-SBA-15 was used as a catalyst. Pyrolysis experiments were conducted using a fixed-bed reactor and pyrolysis gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (Py-GC/MS). BET surface area, N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms, and NH3 tempe...

The reaction mechanism of CO oxidation on Au/TiO2 catalysts remains elusive. Here, we employ density functional theory calculations to gain an understanding of several important aspects of the system, including CO adsorption, the active oxygen species, catalyst deactivation, and the promoting effect of moisture on catalytic activity. Distinct from previous theoretical studies, which tend to add...
متن کاملLow Temperature CO Oxidation Using High Contacting Efficiency Microfibrous Entrapped Catalyst: Qualitative Model
The present work deals with Low Temperature CO Oxidation for Fire Escape Mask development. Building and property fires often contain as high as 3600 ppm of carbon monoxide. The goal of this work is to develop a thin layer catalyst (1-5 mm) capable of reducing carbon monoxide from inlet concentrations of 3600 ppm to less than 400 ppm for at least 15 – 60 minutes while meeting other CBRN (chemica...
متن کاملA Study of Low-Temperature CO Oxidation over Mesoporous CuO-TiO2 Nanotube Catalysts
Supported copper oxide nanoparticles have attracted considerable attention as active and non-precious catalysts for many catalytic oxidation reactions. Herein, mesoporous xCuO-TiO2 nanotube catalysts were fabricated, and their activity and kinetics toward CO oxidation were studied. The morphology and structure of the prepared catalysts were systematically studied using SEM, TEM, EDS, EDX, XRD, ...
